Puppy Foundation

Puppies. Full of joy, energy, messes and challenges. The puppy foundation program is the way to start your puppy off right. This program offers complete and individualized guidance for you on how to best raise your particular pup. Some of the many skills that will be addressed during the program include basic manners, housebreaking, crate training, threshold manners, and foundation obedience skills for sit, down, come, loose-leash walk, and place. Puppy will go through a rigorous but careful exposure process to ensure nothing is missed during the critical period. Puppy will also participate in the Socialization = Neutralization protocol. Basic communication skills will be taught to both puppy and owner so that they can work together to continue the process at home. Potential problem behaviors are identified before they can become set habits. The puppy’s temperament is professionally evaluated and a custom plan is designed for it, which focuses on what will help your pup the most, be it confidence building, healthy separation, or relaxation techniques. Puppy’s attitude and state of mind are always considered in this process as the goal is to develop a puppy who is confident, engaged with its owner, and eager to learn.

Clients Speak Out…

“My family has sent four of our dogs to Elevated K9 and to say the least, it was life changing. I could not leave my pitbull home alone without him breaking out of his crate or having an anxiety attack. Katie made him out to be an outstanding dog who obeyed and loved his owners. I then sent my second Pitbull to her who had similar characteristics to my other dog, coming from the same parents. Being known as a breed to be aggressive and have a bad reputation, I wanted her to have the skills to properly interact with not only people, but dogs as well. She knows her boundaries and is the best dog an owner could ask for! We have a great relationship and would not change a thing. My father sent his pug mix and boxer/bulldog to Katie as well and they have had nothing but success. A dog depends on their owner to show them the ropes of life to live a good life and Katie has been there to guide us through this process.”
